CAMPAGNOLO 2009 11 SPEED

Campagnolo's media embargo ends on June 18th and we have all the pics of the New 2009 11 Speed Line up for you!

Campagnolo was the first company to make a 10-speed drive train. Shimano soon followed (then SRAM). Now Campy is the first to 11 speeds. To hear Campy's engineers tell it, though, 11 speeds was not the primary focus of the redesign of their top end groups. In fact, the idea to add an 11th speed was almost an afterthought. They point out that adding a speed increases the ratios available to the rider, and decreases the jumps between ratios. However, knowing that adding a speed raises a lot of questions about performance and durability, they were very careful to address potential concerns.

Campy lengthened its standard warranty by one year for the 11-speed groups. All three 11-speed groups (Chorus, Record and Super Record) carry a four-year warranty.

The 11s Super Record group is a handful of grams lighter than the 10s Record group.
